Over the years I have had the privilege to play with a small but elite group
of musicians who have had the unusual honor to be known as "The Killer Kona
Buds". As circumstances changed, so have the players. They are a
bunch of crazy freaks...
Killer Kona Buds Rule!,
BN
Bob Narley
Instruments: lead vocals, electric and
acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards, banjo, and drums.
Bob Narley is the
founder and leader of The Killer Kona Buds. He fronts the band
during live performances and is also the recording engineer and producer
of all Killer Kona Bud material.
Gary
is the original drummer for the Killer Kona Buds, and is featured on the
entire "smokin" album, as well as some of the unreleased material like
"smells like fish" and "sporting a penis". Gary played at many of
the larger concerts including "Livestock" and "Guavaween".
Gary moved to Texas where for the last 10 years he has been working at
Medieval Times as the stable boy. They have promised the position
of "young squire", which he hopes to obtain later this year.
He currently owns one of the largest collections of "Murder She Wrote"
memorabilia in North America, and continues to nurture his passion for
scrap booking. Gary was recently arrested for violating the
restraining order taken out by David Hasselhoff in 2003.
Rich Leetham
Instruments: 5 String Bass
Rich was the
original bass player for the Killer Kona Buds. Rich played on many of
the songs featured on the first album "Smokin", and is credit for the
awesome bass line in "Talking Headlines". We could not find any
pictures of Rich, however we did find this short video that was filmed
behind the Salvation Army donation box at the Walmart in Pasco County.
Rich divorced his first wife, renounced paying child support, and has
since moved onto the Seminole Indian reservation with his 2 new wife's,
Squatting Duck and Stinky Moon, his 16 children, and 5 grandchildren.
Travelers through the reservation rumor that Rich has taken a liking to
smoking the peace pipe and hustling tourists of the Casino to take tours of
his "Authentic Indian Tee Pee and Sweat Lodge".

Raven
Instruments: Bass
Raven joined the band after Rich left. At this
time we don't have any pictures of Raven, but we are looking. Known
for his long black hair and plethora of tattoo's, Raven laid a very heavy
bottom end to the band.
Raven was last seen driving the tour bus for Motley Crue. After
completely tattooing every inch of skin on his entire body, he has since
contracted an eye specialist to begin tattooing the white of his eyes.
Billy Nuggets
Instruments: Bass and Guitar
Billy was the first
man on board when Bob reformed The Kona Buds in 2004. Billy not only
played bass, but also performed back up vocals, and occasionally played
acoustic guitar with Bob during live broadcasts of the show.
Today Billy Nuggets is the day shift DJ and swing manager at Roxie's Nude Cabaret and Wing
House in Sanford Florida. He now
lives behind the club in a vintage 1968 Airstream Globetrotter that he
inherited from the previous DJ, and plans to tour the Midwest with it after
he retires. Billy has fathered 3 children with 3 different strippers
at the club, and is listed at #6 on Florida's Dead Beat Dad List.
Gerry, a fantastic
guitarist who plays mainly a Les Paul through a Marshall stack, joined the
band after the SW Florida auditions. Gerry and Ken formed the "Wall of
Sound" guitar tone that Bob loved.
Following a freak accident involving a tranquilized circus elephant,
Gerry received a large cash settlement from an insurance company and has
moved into the Emperors Suit at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Nevada. He
has a regular seat at the High Stake Black Jack Table and has also taken a
part time job playing guitar for Wayne Newton's backup band. At last
report he was up almost $71,000.
Ken, a skilled
guitarist, and other half of the "Wall of Sound" guitar tone, joined the
band with Gerry after the SW Florida auditions. It's funny to note
that Ken forgot to play the guitar during the first auditions, and instead
spent the whole time singing "hey man, nice fart".
Ken currently works as a field reporter for High Times Magazine, and
resides in Costa Rica with 3 Hispanic servant girls. His expose' on
the proper pollinating technique of the female Sativa plant using Bong
resign and tweezers earned him a nomination for the Nobel prize in 2004 and
a blue ribbon at the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam.
Drummer Dave
joined the band upon a referral from Billy Nuggets, after the first two
drummers bailed. Dave's excellent meter and years of experience made
him an outstanding addition to the Kona Buds.
Dave is now a paramedic in SW Florida, and will be graduating with his
PHD is cosmetic surgery. He plans to open, the Drummer Dave Breast
Emporium sometime in 2005. In his off time, Dave tours most of SW
Florida with his acclaimed Bee-Gee's Tribute Band, "Night Fever".
